Your day begins with the warm Maltese sun and the sound of the sea. Whether you’re
staying with a host family, in the school residence or in private accommodation,
mornings in Malta feel peaceful and fresh.
Most students enjoy a light breakfast before heading to school – maybe some toast, fruit
or tea. A healthy start to a busy day!
Lessons begin at 9:00. You’ll join your teacher and classmates from all over the world.
Everyone is here to improve their English in a friendly and positive environment.
Classes are interactive and lively. You’ll practise speaking, listening, reading and writing
– all with topics related to everyday life. The lessons are dynamic and engaging, helping
you build confidence quickly.
At 10:30 it’s time to relax. During the 30-minute break, students enjoy a coffee or a
snack on the rooftop, lounge or at a local café. Many try the traditional pastizzi – a
popular Maltese pastry!
It’s also the perfect time to chat with friends to practise your English.
After the break, lessons continue with engaging activities such as task-based exercises
and conversation practice. Our teachers ensure you speak as much as possible and
truly enjoy the learning experience.
Classes finish at 12:30, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the afternoon exploring Malta.
For those who want to make the most of their English learning journey, the afternoon is
the perfect time to dive deeper in your learning. You can choose to join a conversation
class, where you’ll practise speaking with students from all over the world – a great way
to boost your fluency while learning about different cultures.
If you prefer a more personalised experience, private lessons are also available. These
one-to-one sessions are tailored to your specific goals, whether you’re looking to
improve your general English, refine your Business English, or prepare for an exam like
IELTS or Cambridge.
St. Paul’s Bay is full of restaurants and snack bars. After class, you can enjoy lunch
near the sea – from pizza and pasta to fresh salads or takeaway wraps. Some students
eat together on the rooftop or next to the sea.
It’s a great moment to relax, share experiences, and enjoy the Maltese weather.
At GV Malta, we offer much more than just lessons. Our Leisure Coordinator organises
a variety of fun activities and excursions, all led by a school representative, so you
always feel safe and supported.
These activities are a great way to discover Malta, practise your English and make new
friends. Some of the popular options include:
● 🐠 A visit to the Malta National Aquarium – explore local sea life and learn about
Mediterranean creatures.
● 🌿 A scenic walk along Dingli Cliffs – enjoy nature and take photos of Malta’s
highest point.
● 🐐 A trip to a traditional Maltese farm – meet animals and see how local farmers
live and work.
● 🌊 A hike in the Golden Bay area – walk along the coast, see amazing views and
feel the sea breeze.
All activities are optional and there’s something to suit everyone. With our friendly team,
exploring Malta is easy and exciting.
After a busy afternoon, you might want to relax at home, review what you have learned
in class, or go shopping nearby. Some students meet for ice cream, enjoy the sunset or
go for a walk along the promenade.
In the evening, GV Malta works with English Café Malta, an organisation that hosts
language exchange events, pub nights and social meetups.
These activities help you continue practising English in a relaxed and friendly
environment. You could join a karaoke night, quiz evening or even a boat party. It’s a
great way to expand your circle of friends whilst enjoying Maltese nightlife.
After a busy day, it’s time to relax. You’ve learned something new, explored beautiful
places and shared your day with amazing people. Tomorrow is another chance to
